The Global Conference “Materials in an Explosively Growing Informatics World” will be held on June 20-24, 2024 in Italy. The conference belongs to the highly recognized long-standing CIMTEC series of international meetings started at the end of 1960’s.

Main objectives of the Conference are:

  1. to focus the latest advances and state-of-the art achievements of theoretical and computational approaches on fundamentals of materials science, processing and engineering;
  2. to evaluate and report on the state-of-the-art application of data driven accelerated discovery of new materials;
  3. to share updated theoretical studies and experimental works and to critically explore the opportunities offered by progress in materials research to further implement the overall performance of classical   computers and to meet the challenges of the novel frontiers of information processing up to quantum computing.

Inorganic as well as organic materials morphologies and systems are of interest including e.g. quantum dots, nanowires, nanotubes, 2D materials, atomic clusters, extended defects, amorphous materials, crystals, polycrystalline materials, glasses, granular materials, soft condensed matter, porous media and composite, nanostructured, layered and hybrid structures.
The broad range of the subjects covered by the Conference should be very attractive for the multidisciplinary platform of mathematicians, physicists, chemists, and materials scientists and engineers working in the fields of computational materials science and computer technology.
