Short Biography
I am Onima and I have started as a PhD student at TU Delft. I have completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Physics from Delhi University, India after which I have pursued another masters in Applied Optics from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. During my master’s studies, I fabricated plasmonic nanoparticle arrays, characterized their optical properties using Raman spectroscopy for biosensing applications. At the Kuipers Lab, my research focuses on topological excitons in 2D materials, with a keen enthusiasm to expand my knowledge and creative insights in this field. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with my colleagues at TU Delft and QuMat, and contributing to research in Nano-optics.
The subject of my thesis is: Topological excitons in 2D heterostructures.
