Germanium quantum wells
Ultra-low disorder strained Ge quantum wells will be synthesized using CMOS-compatible processes and holes with strong spin-orbit interaction will be confined in gate-defined quantum devices. Proximitization of the confined holes by superconducting contacts with a near-epitaxial semiconductor-superconductor interface will allow the investigation of novel devices towards topological superconductivity.
