Theory of complex magnetism
This subproject will focus on creating new theoretical understandings on the type of magnetic order and spin dynamics in the synthesized and characterized magnets described above. We will characterize the phase transitions in these materials and how they can emerge depending on thermodynamic properties and underlying interactions. Moreover, we will explore spin propagation in these materials, quantify the role of magnon and other fundamental excitations, and investigate how these excitations can be manipulated by external stimuli.
