Topological superconductivity in Kitaev chains

Quantum dot – superconductor hybrid devices will be studied in two-dimensional electron gases. Measurements of crossed-Andreev reflection and elastic co-tunneling will be used to tune these devices into the topological regime. The devices will be integrated with high-frequency measurement techniques to develop quantum bits that harness topological protection.
