Short Biography

Before coming to the Netherlands, I did my studies and PhD in the Dresden, Germany, in the field of inorganic chemistry. There, my research has been focused on the exploratory synthesis of intermetallic compounds with complex magnetic properties. As a chemist by training, my ongoing project targets the crystals growth of 2D van-der-Waals materials, determination of their crystal structure and engineering of the band structure by chemical modification.
Outside of the lab, I am always enthusiastic to go for a hike, bike ride or run to explore the surroundings.
